Wow. New Fuschia Plot 5 already. I am on a freaking roll this week. If you missed out on the last one, well... too late! I guess it's better to play it safe and just read them like, right away huh? So I'm gonna stop being an asshole. This new one is one of those comics you write when you're frustrated that you can't write a comic, so you write a comic about somebody who can't write, and it turns out great. Give it a look.

Okay, new Fuschia Plot 5. Now, I know It's been a while since the last one, and I'm sorry, but this time around I've given you guys a little extra to make up for it.
Let me explain. . .
No. There is too much.
Let me sum-up.
In this new installment of the beloved Fuschia Plot 5 gallery I not only humiliate myself for you, but it takes me eight freaking pages to do it.
You see, I don't really think it's any secret that I'm something of a fanboy. (fanman, actually.) But I've always sort of thought of myself as more of a "closet fanboy." Than one of those outspoken "flaming" fanboys.
Conveniently enough, I was digging through my closet today, and I came across one of my old sketchbooks from way back when. Flipping through it I was startled to recall that at one point in my youth, my love for that most splendiferous of anime programs, Urusei Yatsura, had caused me to do something very silly, and write my very own fan comic. This is not usually the sort of thing I do, but you've gotta understand. . . I REALLY like Urusei Yatsura.
Anyhoo, I did the whole thing in one night back when I was a teenager, (I forget exactly when.)
and now here it is ready for you to read.
This is your final, clinching proof that I love all of you more than I love myself.
Oh, one more thing. The thing IS eight pages long, but they are all stacked on top of eachother like one BIG comic, so remember to scroll down. Trust me. It just keeps going.
Enjoy.

At this moment I'd like to once again take some of your time to direct you to the two new comics in our links section.
First off, Combustible Orange.
I've been meaning to link to these guys for some time now. We met them during Comic-Con in San Diego and I'm telling you, you won't find better peoples than Frank, Becky and Ben. Even if you look for like, a long time.
Oh yeah, and their comic is beyond amazing. They don't really need ME pimping their wares though. They do a fine job of that on their own. Frank is about as funny / psychotic as they come, and Becky and Ben produce artwork that looks roughly like I imagine MINE would had I sold my soul to the devil during my tender developmental stages. You can read their comic. My feelings won't get hurt.
The other comic is called i wish i had a penguin friend, and I actually had to go back and un-capitalize those "i"s, I'm so shackled to habit.
This one is kinda hard for me to describe, but I think I could probably sum it up by saying, adorable / thought provoking / Whaaaaaaaaaa?
Morgan is a fine talent, and we shall be watching her career with great interest.
You may now return to your regularly scheduled CONvictions.

"Did you hear that Meg? Guys can marry other guys now. So...this is awkward, but I mean, if they can do that, that is pretty much it for you, isn't it? I mean you as might well pack it in. Game over."

Sorry about the comic not being up yet and everything. Tis the season and all that jazz. The good news is I completed my Christmas shopping this weekend, but I suppose that isn't good news for you, unless you know me, because I probably didn't get YOU anything, and these gifts were obtained at your expense, what with the late comic and all. No worries though. I'm going to finish it up tonight and post it before I pass out from work compounded by more work, and then die. I do it for you, my babies. Much love for ya from this direction.
Oh, but hey, good news! This one is really freaking funny. (At least in MY oppinion it is.) Seriously, when I read Sam's script I almost lost it. I'm not gonna jump the gun on this one, but I DO believe we may have just introduced America's newest, most beloved character. So yeah, you can check that out tonight.
In the confusion of this week I also forgot to put up a new Fuschia Plot 5, but there WILL be a new one sometime this week. I'd like to balance it between updates.

There it is. I was going to put up a different Fuschia Plot 5, but then I stumbled on this old one and it was just too damn cute to not use it. I think I wrote this while waiting in an airport terminal in Florida. I remember being bored out of my skull to the point where watching these adorable old ladies question the staff was actually entertaining. I thought it would be even MORE entertaining if their conversation went like this. . . Airport.
As always, I hope you enjoy it.
"Lady, I got buddies who died face-down in the muck so you and I could enjoy this nice family restaurant!"

Just a heads up, I'm going to change the Fuschia Plot 5 tonight, so if you haven't gotten a chance to read it yet you may want to give it a looksie-doo.

The last Fuschia Plot 5 voting incentive got a really nice response, so I'm going to try to make my self update it more often. This way, you guys will get two new comics each week instead of just one, which will be nice for you, and maybe we'll finally climb up the list on TopWebComics, which will be nice for us. Win Win, that's what I'm all about.
So, Getting us into the swing of things is good ol'Sea Captain Winky. Captain Winky is the host of a children's program focusing on marine life. Also, I made him up. He is the drinkinest, dirtiest, awesomest host of any kids show ever, but he doesn't exist. He is fighting a seamonster here. (Those MAY exist, I'm not sure.)
Have fun!

First off I want to thank all the people who have commented on my recent blog on the CONvicts MySpace page. You guys are just the friendliest bunch, I swear to god.
Secondly, I would love if everyone would notice that I actually put up a new Fuschia Plot 5 voting incentive!!! Holy crap, how long has it been since the last one?
Well anyway, this one is called Too Far?, and it is all about the funny things that we would like to get our girlfriends to do in bed, but they won't because our kinky ideas are horribly offensive to them, and also we don't HAVE girlfriends.
Enjoy.

Big news!!! I like a new comic! And when I like a new comic, I think YOU should like a new comic. It's called What The Duck?, and it's a traditional, newspaper style comic strip about photographers who happen to be ducks. This is the good stuff. It reminds me of when I enjoyed reading the comics section. All you really need for a good strip is a simple base idea and an unusual twist, and you can write fresh, funny strips for years.
You better be going to read What The Duck? now.
"Let's get dangerous!"
Zach

October 14, 2006
The new strip in our links section is actually a new webcomic altogether. Bring Your Own Awesome. I was just flipping around on the webcomic list, killing time, and I stumbled across this gem. They're only nine pages in, and I'm already hooked. I think you guys should be too. Read it, and get the chance to be among the first to know about this strip before it totally blows up, and everybody is reading it. (Liking things before they were cool is still the number one way to actually BE cool.)

also, give a look at Hookie Dookie Panic! This stuff is funny, but then I HAVE always been partial to light saber humor. The strip isn?t exactly linear like CONvicts, but we do share quite a few common traits. It?s loaded with pop culture references and skewers conventions on a regular basis. Then you?ve also got the Wacky friend, the straight man, and the dangerously violent girl. Which, (as you can probably guess) is a setup that I am quite fond of. There?s a lot to like here folks. And hey, I know some of you wished we made a few more anime jokes. Well you can totally get your fix with Hookie Dookie Panic! which is great for the both of us! Why am I still talking? Good point. Go read them now.

Those guys over at Gamer Lamer are a real solid bunch. They were the first to swap links with us, and I still consider them to be the best friends we've got out there in the world of webcomics. I did a guest strip for them that just went up today, and you should all check it out. It would be nice to think that I improved their hit count, if only ever so slightly.
Also, I've been getting a lot of friends on the CONvicts MySpace page, but I could always use more. I am a lonely boy. Keep em' coming!

We now have a Myspace account. I figured that in lieu of a message board, this would be a pretty good idea. Add us, comment to us, LOOOOOOVE us, and we may just do a few of those things back at you. Unless you are smelly. (I can tell over the internet.)

Hello, This is your friendly neighborhood writer with a small bit o' the olde news. Yes, usually Zach takes care of the PR, since most of my time is spent sitting in a dark room laughing at my own jokes, which can be rather time consuming, but there is something I've been thinking about for awhile now...
There is a third member of the CONvicts team, and while she chooses to stay out of the limelight, Natalie has been there for the comic all along, and should even be credited with coming up with the original idea we're based around ("what if there were these people stuck in an endless string of Cons that they couldn't get out of?"). She has not only worked as our editor, but also Costume Designer(What the hell do we know about the rennisance?), craft services(Rice Krispie Treats!!!) not to mention help with storyline, characters, and pointing out that the occasional joke I'm laughing to myself about isn't funny.
Thank You Natalie!
And thank you, true believers. You may now return to your regularly scheduled comic.

Sorry I haven?t put up any new news for awhile. Time just kinda got away from me. I don?t have a whole lot to say right now, but I still feel I would be remiss if I didn?t point out the new Fuschia Plot 5 voting incentive up there. It has no dialogue, but it?s filled with whackadoo hilarity. Check it out one time won?t you?

July 24, 2006
Sorry there's no comic this week. Comic-con actually took alot more out of me than I thought it would. Still, I had an awesome time, and I'm counting down the months untill the next one already. We'll be back with all new super freshness next week, but untill then I may stick up a new Fuschia plot 5 or something, I dunno. Hey guys? I'm going to bed.
"That Clerks 2 was a chuckler."

Comic-con! It?s so close I can taste it. Sam and I are going to be there, wandering about and indulging our own convention needs, but I really want to bump into at least one of you, so I think I?ll be wearing some of our shirts while I?m there. If you think it?s me, don?t be afraid to say hi, and if it turns out not to be me, ask him where he got that shirt, because I know for a fact that we haven?t sold a single one of those.
Here?s to an awesome Comic-con fellas, lets hope we all manage to escape.

It?s official. I can stop telling people ?we?ve been doing this strip for ALMOST a year.? And can now substitute for the far more attractive, ?we?ve in fact been doing this strip for PRECICELY a year.?
Speaking for myself, this strip has been one hell of an experience. I work full time as it is, and there are weeks where this thing can eat up free time like some kinda radioactive beast from beyond the realm, who feeds mainly on village children and free time. I?m exhausted, and I think I?m starting to show physical damage, but you know what? Screw me. My only regret is that I can?t update more often. This strip is one of the most satisfying things I?ve done with my life, and my fatigue is nearly eclipsed by my borderline ass hole-ish pride.
You guys have made doing this thing a blast, and the simple knowledge that you?re out there reading it every week makes me feel so freaking cool, you have no idea.
So I?m holding my exquisitely bejeweled drinking Mc-chalice skyward, and I?m making a toast to ALL of us, you guys. Here?s to a kick ass SECOND anniversary.
Now lets all get wasted.
"Oh crap you guys, it's father's day."
Zach

New Fuschia Plot 5 voting incentive up there. . . Look at it. Just sitting there. Who the hell does it think it is?
anyhoo, when I wrote it the principal of my high school was making an announcement that was generally themed along the same lines. I, of course, took SOME artistic liberties with this version. Enjoy.

I just recently had a good old time at the Rennaisance Pleasure Faire, and it wasn't untill about halfway through the trip that I realized how much material I was missing out on now that Andy and David and Alex are back from the Ultra-Con Faire. It's frustrating. I suppose I'll just have to jot down all these ideas and wait untill we can make up an excuse for them to return. That will be nice.
I ordered a set of the shirts a little while ago and they just arrived. May I just say that these things are looking great? . . . I may? Then, these things are looking great. If you want to see for yourself, give the Ultra-Con Dealers' Room A looksee.
Did you guys see the new button for the Fuschia Plot 5 voting incentive comic? It's up above me right now. The comic contained within it is actually the first one Sam and I ever worked on together, so hey. . . A little bit of history for you there.
Untill next time

It's finally really here! We have a store! Ultra-Con Dealers' Room.
At the moment you'll find some really snappy shirts in there, and we hope to add some other types of purchase-tastic items when fate strikes us into doing so. Until then, shop children, and . . . you're welcome.

AAAAAAA!!!! I haven't put up any news in forevers!!! Are you guys mad? I'm sorry, but hey, look at these!
We just had these two prototypes made, and I can't get over them! I only want to change a few things and then I'll be completely happy with them, but I'd still like to know what you think. . . mail@CONvictscomics.com
Anyway, that's all I've got for now, so untill next time, toodles!

"So anyway, UFO my ass, right?"

March 20, 2006
Would you guys like to own CONvicts merchandise? Sam and I are thinking of making a few things, but we really aren?t sure if there is any sort of demand for them yet. So it would be awesome if you guys could let us know what you think. If you would be interested in getting random objects with my drawrin?s all over them, send us a message at mail@CONvictscomics.com. You don?t have to write much. (Although as I?ve mentioned before, I love hearing from you guys, so write all you like!) Just tell us what sort of things you would like to see; T- shirts, mouse pads, coffee mugs, novelty contraceptives, stuff like that, and maybe we?ll find a way to make ?em!
P.S. You DO still have time to check out the latest Fuschia Plot 5 voting incentive, Mardrake, Agent of Deliverance, so by all means, check it out. I like this one. It has some of the nicest artwork of all of our old junk, and it makes me chuckle. . . Or was it chortle? Now I?m going to have to read it again.

Late again. . . We suck. But my job IS going fairly well, so feel good for me! As of right now, you can pretty much expect all of the updates to be on Sunday, so just. . . keep that in mind I guess.
I actually got around to putting up a new Fuschia Plot 5 voting incentive, Mardrake, Agent of Deliverance. This one is LOOOOOOOOOONG, so be sure to scroll all the way down. The guy in this comic is loosely based on an actual guy Sam and I found on the internet. He is some crazy preacher guy who believes that demons are the cause of everything that ever goes wrong, ever. We assumed that there must be some form of motivation for his behavior, so here you go.
Let's be friends! Here's my Myspace account. I look forward to your annoying bulletins about what sort of food I am, in correlation with my dating status. "Leftover Pop-tart. Cold and lonely."

Sorry about the comic being late. My bad. But hey, there?s a little fan service for ya, huh?
I just recently got a new job, and scheduling issues MAY force us to move the updates to Sunday or Monday, however as of now that?s not officially the plan and we want to try to stick to Saturday. Not that it really matters, just, ya know, trying to maintain regularity. Unlike my bowels. (I REALLY tried not to say it!)
I'm still offering you the once in a life time chance of being my friend on Myspace. Not, ya know, REAL friends or anything. More like pen pals!

This one just makes me chuckle. I?m doing it right now. I think I really like drawing the gang in theaters. It always feels satisfying for some reason.
Wow, we recently rocketed up the list! Let?s make our way to the top guys! I?d be fairly cool with that.
If you haven?t read the Fuschia Plot 5 voting incentive Impossible yet, do. I drew an awesome kangaroo in it. . . Well I think it?s awesome anyway.
And hey, I'm not getting too many e-mails, so I thought you guys might prefer CONtacting me through my Myspace account. So there you go.

In case anyone is wondering, the guys aren't ACTUALLY outside. The Renaissance faire takes place in a giant room within Ultra-Con that is painted to make it look like it's outside. (Sort of like the back room at Fred's House-O-Beef.)

Today's Fuschia Plot 5 voting incentive is one of my favorites. The Collector It's actually somewhat thematically similar to CONvicts, just. . . ya know, much more vulgar. Give it a look-see.

We've noticed that a lot of new people have been dropping by the site lately. This is largely in part to the new banner that we put up on the Webcomic List.
Greetings! It is a pleasure to have you all here, and you simply must join us again! Write us e-mail! I want to know all of you so very badly.
That?s all for now.

New Fuschia Plot 5!!!! Why? Because we just love you so damn much, that's why! This one is called Pillow Talk Price, and it's chock full workplace shennanigans and office banter. Just consider it our own, lousy version of Dilbert! Enjoy!
"You keep on using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Okay. . . So the language in this particular Fuschia Plot 5 kinda . . .
"goes there." If that doesn't bug you, go for it! . . .?

The new year is with us, and in recognition of that, we here at CONvicts have a number of new things as well. The guys are starting a new day, We have a new chapter, and we just kick-started our new CONcept art section.
Here you can see some of the early sketches that later became what we now know to be CONvicts (even if we wish we didn't.) Expect more sketches to appear in this section over time, but for now. . . You haven't even seen THESE yet! Why do you want more?! Go. . . Go look at them.

Okay, I've had a few hours of sleep, so Fuschia Plot 5 is now ready!!! Just click the "TWC" vote button to read the first one!
Soooo. . . What the hell is Fuschia Plot 5? Well, Fuschia Plot 5 is the comic that Sam and I did before CONvicts that we never showed to ANYONE unless they were sitting somewhere near us at the time. We usually did about one a day, and the whole project basically existed to keep us from paying attention to our studies back in high school.
Each story has new characters and situations, and with the exception of a few returning icons, they really didn't have much to do with one another at all. The language was amped up a bit, and the blood flowed like water, so if you are easily offended, vote, but don't read it. I LOVE these old comics. Some of them suck, some are AMAZING, some of them are hilarious, and some are genuinely disturbing. I'm done talking about them now, it's time for you to read Fuschia Plot 5 #1 Job Toon In Fuzz.
"Shouldn't you. . . you know. . . aim for the pants?"

December 24, 2005
New comic guys! But then, you've probably noticed that by now, huh? In a few days I'm going to kick off a new voting incentive program called "Fuschia Plot 5", but right now I'm so tired that I kant evun tyyyyyype. . . Oh hey, also, today's my birthday, so let's all throw me a surprize party okay? SHHHHH!!! nobody tell ME about it! I want to make sure it stays a surprize!

What's that? You want me to post some kind of news? I'm sorry, but I just can't right now. I'm simply FAR too busy playing the new Prince of Persia game at the moment to take the time to . . . AWWW!!! Look at that! Are you happy now!? The prince is dead! You're all just lucky that I've got these trusty sands of time. Otherwise I would have held all of you personally responsible for his death. *rewind* AHHHHH. It feels good to be able to do THAT again.

As though I were trying to prove that I didn't know the first thing about html, I wound up making the page unrecognizeable in an attempt to change a minor feature on the site. Another sour note resulting from my escapade is that I managed to wipe the last five news postings off the face of the earth. They will most likely never be seen again, so now future generations will not be able to look back and learn that I was funny durring a few days in November. It's the worlds loss. With a little help from Sam I managed to get the site back to normal (or at least what was normal about a month ago,) so now the healing can begin.
Oh! also, Um . . . send me e-mail! I love all forms of human contact.

How we all doin'? Everyone comfortable? Can I get you a pillow, or perhaps freshen your drink? Have you voted yet? No!? Gimme' back that drink!!! Get your smelly head off of my pillow! People, you can vote every day. And when you vote I can personally guarantee that you will be filled with a profound feeling of self satisfaction all day long. You can't buy that kind of satisfaction legally. Not in this country anyway. People will see you coming down the street and they will be all like, "Wow, look how satisfied that guy looks, what the hell is his problem? I hate him so much, I'm going to slash his tires or something. Then Mr. Big won't seem quite so satisfied, will he?" And this will teach you all a very valuable lesson about humility.
This comic is actually somewhat based on real events. When we were at Comic-con we couldn't help but notice the life size Lego Darth Vader (you probably saw it too). The logical leap was a simple one. Who are these people who make all these huge building block models for any and every event where there will be nerds? Who has this kind of time? They should all pool their efforts and make a real life size Lego Death Star, and then blow themselves up with it. If you are one of said model enthusiasts we do apologize for our harshness and would like to remind you that this is all in good fun, and we would also like to remind you to vote for us now please. . . . write me!

-Hugs and Kisses,

SORRY! The comic is a day late. But I'm sure you'll all have been pleasantly surprised to find that the comic was in color! SURPRIZE!!! This won't happen every time, but it's nice once in a while isn't it? We were thinking sort of a Sunday comic kind of thing.
Enjoy!

As it says at the top of this page, We've added a Character Profiles section!, and there's an Andrew Fairman record in it. I will basically try to make this a common occurance, while the comics are taking us a week apiece. So the new comics will go up saturday, but we will try to make sure that something will be added on the off days (i.e. wednesday). I'm big on new content, and will put up whatever I can, even if it's just a background or something.

Oops. It's been a while since we posted any new news huh? How are you guys doing? Chapter one is finally over, and the funny thing is we had no idea that it WAS chapter one until we started chapter two! Heh heh, we suck. Good news though. The comics are all going to be full page from now on in! Sam and I talked it over and we decided that this project just wasn't hard enough already, so goodbye strip format! Hello full page comic! . . . Of course the change-over is going to be complicated at first, so for a while the comic will be posted once a week as opposed to twice, which we've adhered to pretty well until now. But hey, that's progress for you, one step forward, and two steps back. If you feel like you need something more from me, (I've still got lots of blood!) please send your suggestions to the e-mail address below. We want to hear from you guys, no foolin'. We really want to know a little more about who our audience is, so get out the old quills and inkwells and write us some e-mail. So anyway, I've gotta go now. My refrigerator is ringing. Have fun without me!

We really want to know a little more about who our audience is, so get out the old quills and inkwells and write us some e-mail. So anyway, I've gotta go now. My refrigerator is ringing. Have fun without me!

New comic up today. The boys are in the food court as you can see, and we've got some hilarious things lined up for them in there. So stay tuned for said humor. How are we doing so far? If you feel like letting us know, you will notice that we now have a link to our e-mail address on the bottom of the page. I want to hear what you have to say, honest. Write me, I'm lonely. And hey! if you like what you're seein' here, vote for us at Top Web-comics. (see link above) Every little bit helps, and we do so desperately want to feel popular. If you do vote for us, you'll get a neat little incentive. It's a wallpaper! With characters you don't even know yet! It's nice and I like it!

10 Comics...not a bad start. That's quite a good number for now, actually, because the advertising of the comic is going to start in earnest from here on. We have fliers at comic-con this weekend, and I'll be plugging it this week other places. If you're here from that plugging, than you know it was successful, I suppose...

Things are really up and running now, and that just makes me feel pretty great. Andy and Dave have made it into the convention and thus sealed their fates. You guys will love watching them suffer in there, I swear to god. Don't get us wrong on this thing, we LOVE conventions, but you know how it gets on the fourth day of comic-con when you've seen everything worth seeing that you really wont see untill 2008, and you can't think of anything sweeter than sleeping in your own bed instead of your car? These two will never know that sweet release! They're doomed to spend their days getting inside info on who the latest direcor is for X-3, or falling into hopelessly depraved discussions with pathetic fan boys who swear to god that Superman was actually anti-semetic. FOREVER! There really is no escaping Ultra-con, these guys are in this thing for keeps, and I will laugh at them, and hopefully so will you? please? I love each and every one of you. As of right now there will be a new comic up every Wednesday and Saturday, and if you keep on checking in with us there may even be a little fan service. Oh hey! Guys! Check out my review of Howl's Moving Castle on celebritycloseups.com if you have the time, but untill then get out of my house.

Up and live now, with comic #1 for your viewing pleasure... Most other aspects of the site are yet to come: there are, of course, no archives as of yet, this is all the news we have so far, and we're still making up things to put in the "about us" section. There is, however, a full-size version of our preview poster in the "other stuff" section.
